Biography:
Karen Nethersole, Esq., is the CEO & Founder of Full Circle NY (FCNY). Inspired to develop and place within various businesses young minority professionals who would more accurately reflect the diverse makeup of the country, Karen began drafting the blueprint for what would become FCNY.
For many years Karen has been a strong believer in empowering others and through the practice of law fought for the rights of her clients. She worked for years at a private law firm as outside counsel to Fortune 500 companies in the area of corporate restructuring.
Karen transitioned from law into a career in Human Resources at a Fortune 500 Company. A force for change, she rolled out the company's first structured internship programs. Under her leadership the programs have not only become more competitive, revered and garnering national recognition, but have also set the standard for others in the industry to follow. She was featured in The Harvard Guide to Summer Opportunities 2008.
Simultaneously, she worked to make diversity become a central feature of the company's strategic planning effort which sought to build a stronger multicultural presence and create a more inclusive work environment. Her diversity efforts were highlighted in the March 2008 issue of ESSENCE magazine.
Karen graduated magna cum laude from St. Francis College (NY) and was inducted into the Duns Scotus Honor Society. She obtained her juris doctorate degree from Hofstra University School of Law. She is a member of the New York and Connecticut bars and various Federal courts. She is also a member of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR).
Karen shares her inspirational life story through motivational speaking. A proven communicator able to connect with a wide range of audiences, she is frequently requested to be a speaker and has presented at the nations top universities and colleges and various events.
