Biography:
Deborrah (“Dee”) Gilbert is a compassionate, inspirational speaker and entrepreneur with many titles, including executive producer, television host, publisher, philanthropist and mother. She is an agent of change who uses her expertise in homeownership education, financial literacy and business development to empower and help others achieve success.

Founder of Welcome Home Report Media Group, LLC, and the Moretta Community Development Corporation, she is a sought after speaker and technical consultant in community and business development. She is the CEO and principal of internet properties including StylishAttitudes.com, the entrepreneur’s online destination and WelcomeHomeReport.com. She serves as the National Event Chairperson of the Women of Wealth (WOW!) Empowerment Conference Event. Her community outreach is extended through the Moretta Economic Development Corporation – a nonprofit entity focusing on youth financial literacy, mentoring and programs for women prisoners returning to communities.

Ms. Gilbert comes from a long tradition of consulting in the public, private and non-profit sectors and founded her business success from a dynamic journey beginning on the fashion and airline industry runways to the tiers of maximum security prisons in the California State Department of Corrections.

A former maximum security prison administrator, peace officer and certified departmental trainer for 13 years, her knowledge and experiences, have created insight and perspectives which make her an intriguing guest speaker. Her tenure included program and policy development and department liaison for community organizations delivering services focusing on rehabilitation, re-entry and reform. A unique departure from ‘business as usual’, her experiences are distinctly different and captivating.
