Born to drug addict parents and a mother who was incarcerated early in her life, she has broken belief barriers in and around her family, career and community. She is a natural entrepreneur. She has received the Black Achiever in Business and Industry Award as well as the Community Commitment Award in her home state of Delaware. She holds Bachelors of Art degree in English from the University of Delaware and is currently pursuing a dual Masters in Business Administration from Goldey-Beacom College.
